![]() ![]() – Adds in FTP determination while cycling (on Edge series, but not FR920XT) – Adds in Lactate Threshold metrics while running (on Fenix3, but not FR920XT) – Adds in support for structured swimming workouts (via Garmin Connect) – Adds in Shimano Di2 electronic gear shifting ![]() – Adds in Garmin Varia Radar & Varia lights support – Adds in Varia Vision support (first Garmin wearable to support the heads-up display) First, let’s briefly cover in bulleted form what’s different or unique about the FR735XT compared to other Garmin multisport units. But I’ll cover the key things in the shortest possible section. Obviously, I can’t fit everything into this section. The Quick Review Version:Īs I do every once in a rare while, I’m going to offer a bit of an executive summary of my review here. You can support the blog using the links at the end of the review. As is usually the case, once I’m done with the unit here shortly I’ll ship the loaner back to Garmin. I’ve mostly been using the one I picked up myself, while I’ve also done a number of head to head tests to see if there are any differences (such as in battery life and other accuracy areas). One that Garmin sent out to trial, and another that I picked up as a normal consumer. Thus, I’m pretty familiar with what works well and which parts are still a bit wonky. Not only has it done typical swim/bike/run workouts, but I’ve also used it in two different triathlon races. I’ve now been using the unit for about a month in my day to day training and racing. All while also adding in optical heart rate sensor and other new software features. This watch aims to take the software of the larger FR920XT triathlon watch and compress it down into a smaller package. It’s been almost exactly a month since Garmin announced their latest triathlon watch, the Forerunner 735XT. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() On defence there’s an additional timing to factor in – by activating defence cards at just the right moment, you can really minimise the damage that your hero takes. Archers, for example, do better when the bow and arrow cards (shocking, that!). Once the card is in your hand you’re free to use it when you’re ready to, but if you get overly spammy with the cards you’re going to end up with an empty hand and need to wait for the next few turns to roll around.Ĭards come in attacking and defensive forms, and different characters will make better use of certain cards. Most deck building roguelikes are purely turn-based, but in Brave’s Rage your “cards” – the things that you select to take actions – are dealt to you on a timer basis. It has its own art style, of course (and it’s not an unpleasant one), but the only real effort that the developer has undertaken to distinguish the game from its peers is to give it an “ATB”-style combat system. Mechanically, Brave’s Rage riffs on everything from Darkest Dungeon, to Slay The Spire, and more recent examples like Roguebook and Super Bullet Break. We’ve all played this game before at this point. Whenever you land on the same square that an enemy occupies, the battle starts. There is a range of non-combat events and those typically deepen your deck of “cards” that you take into battle. You move your unit of heroes across a grid in a turn-based fashion. It’s just disappointing that there seems to be a shrinking pool of gameplay structures that indies work with, at a time when we need indies to be championing greater creativity.īrave’s Rage is a roguelike deck-building game. ![]() It’s a new entry in a very over-saturated genre, and doesn’t do nearly enough to stand out, but there’s nothing inherently wrong with the game itself. ![]() ![]() ![]() Synchredible can be used for local synchronization, but also for synchronizing folders in networks and on USB devices.Free Download Synchredible Professional 8.103 Multilingual Free Download | 15.8 Mb Individual folders or entire drives: Synchredible synchronizes, copies and backs up - with just one mouse click! However this would again need the installation of drivers for the virtual machine, which again needs admin privileges. ![]() It would be also possible to use some virtual machine and let the usb drive to be connected only to the virtual machine and logically disconnected from the host. The only way I can think off is to boot the machine from some bootable media as linux itself, and do the operation from there. Windows has to protect such operations strictly. ![]() There is no workaroud or I can not imagine how it should work. Those are access to low level of the machine and as you can imagine, one can format all and destroy completely any machine if this would be allowed. Those tasks, regardless if the drive is portable usb or not, are simply prohibited by any current windows. The problem is that it has to create partition, write MBR and partition table etc. ![]() ![]() ![]() While Flanagan plans to create a five-season show and two films centered around The Dark Tower, there is still the chance of it leading to other spin-offs. ![]() Setting up spin-offs Image used with permission by copyright holder It could even leave the door open for characters from past Stephen King films and shows to appear, not just the ones directed by Flanagan but also from other adaptations like 2017’s It, 2020’s The Stand, and the upcoming reboot of Salem’s Lot. Referencing the story in films like Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep, the director introduced metaphysical concepts like “ka” and “the Beam” that serve important roles in The Dark Tower and his author’s entire multiverse. Mike Flanagan has been setting up The Dark Tower long before he even got hired to run the series. There is even a portion of the fourth Dark Tower novel where Roland and his team travel through the version of Earth ravaged by the superflu from The Stand. And in the latter book, the father of Mike Hanlon is said to have been saved from a fire by Dick Hallorann, the psychic cook who mentors Danny Torrance in The Shining. For instance, in the book Insomnia, the Crimson King wreaks havoc in Derry, Maine, the town previously haunted by the evil Pennywise in It. Similar to Marvel and DC, Stephen King has set up his own multiverse in which all his books are set in, and they all have references that link them to The Dark Tower. ![]() Connections to the multiverse Image used with permission by copyright holder 5 questions we have after The Last of Us episode 7ĥ things we want to see in Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving horror movieīut with an episodic series, Flanagan can explore numerous aspects of Mid-World’s culture and history that were never explored in the film, such as the Great Cataclysm, the rise of Arthur Eld, the fall of Roland’s home of Gilead, and the pervading force of destiny known as “ka.” 2. ![]() ![]() ![]() A Philosophical OdysseyTake the next step forward in the story of The Talos Principle in a thought-provoking, character-driven interactive story with multiple endings penned by returning writers Jonas Kyratzes (The Eternal Cylinder, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos) and Tom Jubert (The Swapper, Subnautica), joined by Verena Kyratzes (The Hand of Merlin, Serious Sam 4). The $$ DLC at launch has already got a lot of the playerbase feeling off-put and leery. I really hope the Devs take after Concerned Ape (Stardew Dev) and put out free content. The game could use some free content updates like Stardew did as well as a serious rework of the minigames. Due to the ease and lack of content I am not sure it has much replay value. Other than the social aspect, you could probably let a 6 year old play Potions Permit without issue. Honestly, while I am enjoying Potions Permit it feels a bit like a kid's game. At least for me the lack of reward kills any motive to go there after after checking it out.Ĭombat is also pretty easy but there are some monsters that are a bit harder and require a bit more strategy. Issue is there is no motivation to play the arcade games as there are no rewards, point shop, etc. The mingames in the arcade are also easy but are more fun. ![]() The minigames are short and so easy that some reviewers say they feel like extra buttons to push instead of a proper minigame. Stardew is also a more open game with more map area. Most people are going to compare this to Stardew but honestly this is much easier and feels more casual. It's a fun game but it's very casual and nothing is particularly challenging. ![]() ![]() ![]() KNOXDEV/wsl: A scoop bucket for Window Subsystem for Linux distros.
